Material Certification

At TECNI, material integrity and traceability are fundamental to the quality of our products. To support our rigorous quality control processes, we use the Thermo Scientific™ Niton™ XL5 Metal Alloy Analyser to verify the material composition of stainless steel stock upon receipt into our facility.

The Niton™ XL5 is a compact, high-performance handheld alloy analyser designed to provide rapid, accurate, and non-destructive elemental analysis. Using advanced X-ray fluorescence (XRF) technology, it enables our Quality Team to identify alloy grades and verify elemental composition without damaging or altering the material being tested.

This allows us to confirm that incoming stainless steel materials conform to the specified alloy grade before they enter our manufacturing and production processes. Material verification provides an additional level of assurance, supporting our quality management system and helping to maintain consistency, reliability, and full traceability throughout the supply chain.

Where required, TECNI can also provide Material Reports and Certificates to document the results of material verification. These reports provide customers with additional confidence that the specified material has been independently checked and verified using our in-house testing equipment.

Material Reports / Certificates are available at £25 per item.
