Precision Marking for Your Components

Permanent identification is important for product traceability, inspection, asset management and branding. TECNI offers specialist marking services to meet a range of industrial and commercial requirements.

Our equipment enables us to apply clear, accurate markings directly to suitable components, including wire rope fittings, manufactured assemblies and lifting accessories.

Laser Engraving

Our in-house laser engraving equipment produces precise, permanent markings on suitable stainless steel and aluminium components, with marking areas of up to 110 × 110 mm.

The non-contact process uses a focused laser beam to mark the component surface, allowing detailed text, logos and identification information to be reproduced accurately and consistently.

Product Identification

Clear identification of components, assemblies and manufactured products.

Serial & Batch Numbers

Permanent numbering to support traceability and product records.

Logos & Branding

Detailed company logos, product branding and identification marks.

Technical Information

Part numbers, specifications and working load information where appropriate.

Dot Marking

For components requiring a mechanically indented identification mark, TECNI also offers in-house dot marking on copper, aluminium and stainless steel.

Dot marking uses a controlled mechanical process to create permanent indentations in the material surface. It is particularly useful for components exposed to wear, abrasion or demanding operating conditions.

Typical Dot Marking Applications

  • Lifting equipment identification
  • Wire rope fittings and assemblies
  • Component serial and batch numbers
  • Product and asset identification
  • Permanent technical markings

Which Marking Method Is Suitable?

The most appropriate marking process depends on the material, component shape, intended application and identification requirements.

Laser Engraving

Ideal for precise, detailed markings where clarity, repeatability and presentation are important. Suitable for approved stainless steel and aluminium components.

Dot Marking

Suitable for durable, mechanically indented identification on approved copper, aluminium and stainless steel components, particularly where abrasion resistance is important.

Our team can review your component and advise on a suitable marking method before production.

Applications & Industries

Our marking services support a wide range of component identification requirements.

Wire Rope Assemblies

Identification of fittings and components used within bespoke cable assemblies.

Lifting Equipment

Marking suitable lifting components with relevant identification and load information.

Industrial Components

Part numbers, serial numbers and identification markings for manufactured components.

Branded Products

Company logos and custom identification details for suitable metal products.
