The 12.7mm (1/2") x 152mm (6") Galvanised Forged Eye & Jaw Turnbuckle is manufactured to US Federal Specification requirements and designed for reliable tensioning in applications where strength and safety are essential.

Featuring a forged eye fitting at one end and a jaw fitting at the other, this turnbuckle provides secure connection points while allowing precise adjustment of cable tension. Its galvanised finish offers corrosion resistance, making it suitable for a range of indoor and outdoor installations.

With a rated Working Load Limit (WLL) of 1000kg, this turnbuckle is suitable for applications requiring a load-rated tensioning component.

Applications & Advice

Suitable for a range of cable tensioning applications where a load-rated fitting is required, including:

  • Industrial Cable Systems – Tensioning wire rope assemblies in industrial installations.
  • Structural Bracing – Adjusting tension in suitably engineered bracing and support systems.
  • Marine Applications – Tensioning cables in suitable marine and dockside installations.
  • Architectural Cable Systems – Providing adjustable tension in structural and architectural wire rope installations.
  • General Rigging Applications – Suitable for appropriately designed rigging and tensioning systems requiring secure eye-and-jaw connections.

Before installation, ensure the turnbuckle is suitable for the intended application and compatible with the cable diameter, connecting fittings and required Working Load Limit.

  • Inspect for damage, wear or corrosion before use.
  • Ensure both threaded ends are securely engaged within the turnbuckle body.
  • Adjust tension evenly by rotating the central body, keeping the load aligned with the centre line.
  • Ensure the jaw pin is correctly fitted and secured, and the eye is connected using compatible, appropriately rated components.
  • Avoid side loading, shock loading or forcing the turnbuckle into position.
  • Keep threads clean and free from debris.
  • Regularly check for wear, deformation, damaged threads or corrosion.

Important: Working Load Limit (WLL): 1000kg. Never exceed the manufacturer's rated WLL. For lifting or safety-critical applications, confirm the product's certification and suitability for the intended use before installation.
