The 1.5mm (1/16") AISI 304 Stainless Steel Cylindrical Stop provides a secure end termination for wire rope and control cable assemblies.

Also known as a stop button, sleeve or Boeing button, this DFARS-compliant fitting meets Boeing Commercial Aircraft Standard BACT14A and is recommended for use with Mil Spec cable.

Applications & Advice

Typical Applications:

  • Aerospace and aviation cable assemblies
  • Mechanical control cable systems
  • Industrial wire rope assemblies
  • Precision cable termination systems

Suitable for Mil Spec wire rope. Not suitable for 1x7 or 1x19 cable constructions.

Recommended Swaging Equipment:

  • YCP240C Hydraulic Crimper
  • HEX-2-2.5-SS Die Set – 101.240.480

Alternatively, TECNI can provide professional round or hex swaging services for this fitting.

The expected termination strength is 90% of the wire rope's Minimum Breaking Load (MBL). Testing must be performed to verify the actual strength of the completed assembly.
