Always drill a 4mm pilot hole to prevent timber splitting and ensure easier installation.

The stud can be installed using a socket drive with a dome nut or two locked nuts fitted to the machine thread.

Alternatively, the machine-threaded section can be secured directly into a drill chuck to drive the fitting into the pilot hole.
