The 5mm (3/16") AISI 304 Stainless Steel Cylindrical Stop provides a secure end termination for wire rope and control cable assemblies.

Also known as a stop button, sleeve or Boeing button, this DFARS-compliant fitting meets Boeing Commercial Aircraft Standard BACT14A and is recommended for use with Mil Spec cable.

 

Applications & Advice

Typical Applications:

  • Aerospace and aviation cable assemblies
  • Mechanical control cable systems
  • Industrial wire rope assemblies
  • Precision cable termination systems

Recommended for use with Mil Spec wire rope. Not suitable for 1x7 or 1x19 cable constructions.

Ensure the correct swaging equipment, dies and procedures are used to achieve a secure termination. TECNI can provide professional round or hex swaging services for this fitting.

The expected termination strength is 90% of the wire rope's Minimum Breaking Load (MBL). Testing must be performed to verify the actual strength of the completed assembly.
