WH-SS C4 QP Chain Hoist - 3mtr HOL

Manual Chain hoists are typically used to lift and lower loads vertically. The top hook is normally suspended by one of William Hackett’s clamps or trolleys which is then attached to a tested beam. The hoist is operated by its hand chain, clockwise to lift and anticlockwise to lower. The reduction gears and mechanical advantage of the hoist means that a single operator can lift the load manually using the hoist without power.

If the load is not vertical to the suspension point, WH SS C4 QP Chain Hoists have been independently tested and verified to fleet and cross hall up to 45° with no deration in WLL. Chain collectors are available on request to stop the load chain coming into contact with the load.

The subsea range has fantastic corrosion resistance making this hoist ideal to work in offshore environments, water treatment facilities or by water side environments where corrosion is accelerated.

This hoist can be used under water safely, over a 21-day single immersion and a 31-day multi-immersion periods as the paint system design life is 7-15 years.

The WH SS C4 QP benefits from the patented quad pawl technology makng finer tolerance lifts easier and safer.

Pre-use checks and maintenance should always be carried out with a statutory inspection under LOLER every 12 months.

LIGHT LOAD CAPABILITY: the SS C4 QP is tested and certified at 2% of the chain hoist rated capacity.

QUAD PAWL (QP):

- endurance tested to twice the industry norm

STAINLESS STEEL FIXINGS: all internal springs, circlips (for securing the pawls onto the pawl stands), nyloc nuts and socket head cap screws are stainless steel.

CORROSION PROTECTION: the complete brake mechanism of the SS C4 QP is corrosion protected including the pinion shaft, disc hub, change gear, ratchet gear, pawls, pawl stands and load sheave. In addition the load chain guide, stay bolts and chain stripper are also corrosion protected.

MARINE PAINT:
- ISO12944 Category C5 - very high corrosive environments
- AkzoNobel Interpon Redox Triplex 3-layer paint system
- Paint system design life: 7-15 years.

HIGH PERFORMANCE GREASE: used throughout the SS C4 QP hoist enhancing the corrosion protection.

SAFETY LATCHES: hooks are fitted with heavy duty cast steel latches. The latch and hook tip integrated creating a strong and robust hook closure.

HOOK OVERLOAD AND TRACEABILITY MARKS: hooks have overload indicator marks either side of the throat (500kg to 10t). Both top and bottom hooks are embossed with a batch code, manufacturer's mark and the working load limit for full traceability and compliance to international standards.

HAND CHAIN JOINER: a unique hand chain joiner is used as a quick and secure method of joining the hand chain.

HOOK HOUSING: secured with socket head cap screws/hex head bolts and nyloc insert locking nuts to allow full inspection.

FLEETING/CROSS HAULING: independently tested (test report 2550-7615) for fleeting or cross hauling applications up to 45° from the vertical without deration of the WLL.

LOAD CHAIN:  the SS C4 QP (Quad Pawl) chain hoists are fitted with Grade T (8) load chain that fully complies with international standard BS EN818-7 Grade T (8). The option of calibrated Grade S (6) 316L stainless steel load chain, hand chain and bottom hook (stainless steel bottom hooks are only available for 500kg and 1t units).
